Our presses are designed to print at speed, using the cold, web-offset printing method, which is a process where ink dries through evaporation and absorption into the paper. This is an industrial process where the ‘web’ – a giant reel of paper – passes through the press picking up four colours of ink; cyan, magenta, yellow and key (black). Artwork is lasered onto an aluminium plate which is attached to the press – there is one plate for each colour, the image is transferred or ‘offset’ from the plate to a rubber blanket and onto the paper. The webs then come together and are cut and folded before being stacked into bundles ready for dispatch.

Templates – Tips & Advice
Tips & Advice
Print will look very different to how it looks on screen and will not appear as vibrant. By viewing your artwork on our Webpairer you will see the nearest representation as this replicates the colour or tone of the paper you are printing on. We would also advise you to collaborate your screens every 28 days and remember that everybody views colour differently.
To achieve the best colour reproduction, we recommend retouching in RGB, then converting to CMYK using the correct icc profile.
Switching rendering intents depending on the image content and paying attention to image sharpening.
